For creating a banner out of 6 A4 pages depends on the quality of your material. Usually the recommended banner size in this case is the sum of the A4 pages placed as they are required. If the Original image is pixelated on an A4, that means the banner will be smaller, so It can have a clean image, if the images are in high dpi it's possible to have a larger banner.
