Basic Web Site for Small Business

I have a small consulting business in the U.S. to conduct market research for corporations, non-profits and political campaigns. I need a web site that is mainly to describe my business and a way for people to easily contact me. I enjoy collaborating, and am looking for someone with enthusiasm and will take interest in our joint success. For my small web site, I need someone who can: 1 – professionalize my design 2 – insert necessary basic programming 3 – optimize the site for search engines I will provide four web sites of competitors, to demonstrate the level of quality I need in the design and programming. Phase I of the site will have nine pages. All of the pages will use the same master template. I have already composed all text, and have the artwork. I have a color pallete to use. I have an initial design and layout, but am open to a more professional design. You may suggest a platform, but it must be in a format that can accommodate Phase I and Phase II (read below). It is likely you will need to reformat some of my text, which uses simple tables and bullets. The functionality I need will be basic: - A navigation bar - Slide show for one frame on the home page - A “contact us” form, with six fields, to be sent to me via email. - A horizontal scrolling of small logos on one of the pages - Buttons to sign up with us via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn and to be put on an email marketing list I would also like the site to look good on web browsers on smartphones. This will be the first version of the web site, but I plan to follow in six months with more pages and capabilities. So, the design must be able to be easily updateable. In Phase II (which is not part of this bid, but I would like to use the same programmer if I am satisfied), we will add: - Blogging, which can be simultaneously broadcast through Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn - A feed of information from other sites, through RSS - More basic pages and downloadable .pdfs - A small program to take inputs of a few variables and output a calculation I would need Phase I to be completed within five days from the start of the project. Important to me in the candidate: 1. Can communicate well in English. 2. Will be responsive, providing me an update once a day. 3. Honesty 4. Have a good eye to make a site easy to use and look sophisticated I will need one example of a website that you have completed, that is online and represents at a minimum what I have requested in this project.
