Basic D3 Interactive Visualization

I am looking for a basic D3 application I can build on that takes data and builds it into a bubble interface that can be interacted with. That bubbles will be different sizes depending on volume of data, ultimately we will be dealing with roughly 6 thousand rows. We need an application that reads the data from a mySQL database then builds bubbles and demonstrates connections between the data trends, it will look similar to the attached picture. When a user clicks it should zoom into the bubble and display data within it and magnify the smaller bubbles nearby. There will also be menus next to the interface to filter data depending on parameters. This is all the functionality, the data has only about 8-9 columns depending on how we decide to clean it up.
