It is also possible to build a 'system' in excel using complex formulas, however over time this will fall apart as excel is not a database engine. Hi there! This is a very simple application and it all depends on the criteria for the awards, how they are stored and how you want them used to sort the applicants. Provided that the Excel file is straightforward, it should not take more than 2 hours to create a simple Access application to display the top applicants for each award depending on the award selected.
