DMX512 Tester App for iPad

I want a "DMX512 Tester" app written. The app will run on the iPad only (iPhone support will be a future project). The app will use an existing DMX512 USB widget (Enttec DMX USB Pro) , connected via the Apple USB camera connector included in the iPad Camera Connection kit. No hardware development is required, however, any software required to interface to the selected hardware is in the scope of the project. Future extensions to the project will include iPhone support & support for additional DMX devices. ## Deliverables The app will provide a UI with the following features * "Receive mode" window to display a single incoming DMX512 universe. * The user will be able to select between a table/grid text display OR a graphical display (using bar graphs with 1 column per channel) to show the level of each DMX channel * The display will constantly update as data is received & will indicate when no valid DMX signal is being received. * "Send Mode" window to generate DMX data for a single DMX512 universe. * One slider/fader per DMX channel to set the output level/value. * A display/edit box per DMX channel to display the current output value. The user will be able to type a DMX output value here, with the corresponding slider adjusting accordingly. Ie: the user can either drag a slider or type a value to set the level of a channel. * Provide a single "master fader" to affect the output value of all channels. Version 1 (this project) will only support a single DMX512 device type (the Enttec "DMX USB Pro"), however, the design must allow for the easy integration of other devices in the future. Details of the Enttec DMX USB Pro can be found here: <[login to view URL]> No hardware development is within the scope of this project, however, creating any necessary "driver" software to interface with the specified hardware IS within the scope of this project. RDM support is NOT required for this project (will be added in a future version). The interface spec for the DMX USB Pro can be found here: * <[login to view URL]> * Implementation of this interface & any additional software required to interface to the USB widget (such as a Virtual Com port or equivalent) IS within the scope of this project. * As noted above, RDM support is not required in this project. You will require at least the following items of hardware for this project: * Enttec DMX USB Pro (the DMX widget) * Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit USB connector * Powered USB hub (the iPad does not supply enough power via USB) * DMX tester (to test the app) You are required to supply the powered USB hub & I'd prefer if you have access to your own DMX tester (I could supply a DMX tester if necessary). I can supply the Enttec USB Pro & the iPad Camera Kit (if you don't already have access to these items) and these must be returned to me at the end of the project. Other design & implementation requirements: * Other DMX device types will be supported in the future so the internal design of the app must allow for the easy integration of other devices in a future project. * The code must be well structured and documented by comments within the source code. * The app UI should be coded to run on iPhone or iPad (ie: scale to screen size/resolution etc) to allow for future iPhone support. iPhone support * I have only excluded iPhone support from this project because I believe the iPhone does not support the iPad camera connection kit or any other mechanism to connect USB accessories (without some custom hardware). * If you are able to implement this app on the iPhone as well as the iPad (still only using the hardware described above - no custom hardware), please let me know & bid accordingly. I would definitely prefer iPhone support as well.
