Access/Excel to SQL Server Import Wizard

This application is designed to perform the following tasks: 1. Allow for upload of a Excel or Access (XLS/MDB) from an IIS (ASP) Web Server onto an NT Platform. 2. Take the uploaded data file and either remove the first row of the first Excel spreadsheet or the column names of the Access Database (Need the ability to choose the table from the Access Database based upon a list of acceptable choices, you can assume for Excel that the first worksheet will be used). Associate these column names to the fields in the database table (SQL Server). And import all subsequent rows. This should provide an easy mechanism for datafile updates without updating the software. This will be phase one of a multi-phase project to import various formats into our SQL Database. ## Deliverables 1. ASP Upload form which uploads a file from an NT Server into a temporary directory and spawns the Data Import Wizard. 2. Data import wizard that imports an Access database table or Excel Spreadsheet (based upon spec given above in description) into an SQL Database. 3. These programs must be configured to allow for easy updates to the source and destination repositories. (i.e. Remote Database Connection String) 4. Source Code. ## Deadline information Small project. Would like completed in one to two weeks. Don't think this should be a problem if someone is dedicated for a day or two on this.
