Client GUI Simulator

Task 1 -? Define the details of all of the commands between the EXISTING Main Host Java Control script (enclosed with documentation) and the NEW Client.? ? This communications is IP based, and we will need this documentation for each command, and the parameters which are sent.? The documentation will show which way the commands are sent (to client, to host or both) and examples of each command with parameters.? In addition, details will be provided by the coder on how this communications occurs, such as TCP, UDP and the format of the messages. The EXISTING Main Host Java Control script is used for sending commands to a small touch screen and sending/receiveing commands from a lighting control module. Task 2 - Build a NEW Client Simulator with a GUI for displaying TCP commands received from the Main Host Java Control script and will allow for selecting the commands and setting the parameters which will be sent to the Host Java Control script via IP. ? ? The GUI should be easy to use, with one area for displaying all commands received and sent on the IP network for this Main Host Java controller in separate windows, side by side.? The other screen, tab or area will all for easy selection of one of the commands from a complete list with the option for filling in the parameters, with help functions describing this command and it’s parameters. Then a SEND button will upon being depressed will send the command over IP to the Main Host Java Control script which currently exists.? These outgoing commands will also be logged in the sent window in ASCI format.? Each command can require the setting of an ADDRESS which is unique to each of the devices on the RS485 network. The main functions of this simulator will be to turn on, off, and set parameters for the Touch Screens, and Lighting controller.? Each of these devices has a unique address which is set on the hardware via a DIP switch. This program must support all of the commands, in an easy to use GUI format.? The logging of receive and sent commands in windows, will assist in testing of these LCD touch screens and the Lighting controllers. ## Deliverables Existing Scripts, complete module documentation and touch sreeen/lighting module documentation is being provided to coder for Tasks 1 and 2 assistance.
