Basic Search Engine ASP.net/MSSQL2005

Hi, I need a basic ASP.net 2.0 driven search engine. This will run off a Microsoft SQL 2005 database to which the schematic has not been finalised and open to suggestion and adaption. The project will consist of 4 main areasL Database design Data entry page (basic) Search page/Search Code Results page I will work in conjunction with the coder to get the database design correct but I am adaptable to the coders needs and recommendations from the DB design. The concept is basically to have a unique record with multiple fields of information, some of which may be null and will be handled by the search logic The Data entry page will be basic so that I can get some test data into the database, I will develop this area in future. The search will logic will be to compare a search string against a few fields in the Microsoft SQL 2005 database, ensure that duplicates are not returned, i.e. if the string is in the Description and title field then do not return record twice. There will also be some advanced search features where end user can search based on criteria found in other fields. Search engine should be able to deal with nulls in certain search fields e.g. blank search string but able to search by date. The logic may have to be adapted on the fly but will not deviate great, it is more likely to be tweak orientated. Results page will drop back the search results in relevance order, date order and user must be able to select how many results per page. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows 2003 Standard Server Microsoft SQL 2005 Must be compatible with IE6.0+ and FF1.0+
