The coder's responsibility is to install my Yellow Pages scraper (a simple php file) and set it up such that I can import the listings directly to my directory (which uses the eSyndicat software) as well as into Microsoft Word’s “mail merge.??
## Deliverables
This project requires the coder to be familiar with the Esyndicat directory listing software. I am starting up a small online directory that caters to professionals. I will be targeting these professionals by using a Yellow Pages scraper to gather their information. The setup and programming for this scraper will involve 2 things: 1. Importing the data into an Excel file that is capable of mass import into the eSyndiCat directory through the eSyndicat “import from CSV?? plug-in. 2. Importing the data into another Excel file (can be CSV or XLS) which is fully functional with Microsoft words mail merge feature. Stated plainly, the coder's responsibility is to install my Yellow Pages scraper and set it up such that I can import the listings directly to my directory as well as into Microsoft Word’s “mail merge.?? The coder should set this up in such a way that I can change the script to point to another domain that has another eSyndiCat directory for doing the same thing. (reinstalling the script for the new domain/directory is also an option, so long as it works) A small, concise instructional file for how I can re-and in him or him him him him him him him him him configure the script to work with the new domain/directory will be necessary. Perhaps the most technical requirement is that the script must be intelligent enough to add a new categories for the city and state, if such category is not already there. All listings will be U.S. based. The file for the scraper is attached. If you feel it is easier to do a complete custom solution instead of using this script, you may certainly do that as long as your scraper pulls data as well as the one attached here.
