Django Non-rel Custom Admin Interface

Django non-rel runs on Google App Engine - since it is a modification to the original django code, some standard modifications to the admin function do not work (non relational database on GAE - google's big table). We need the following modificaitons: Additional custom fields that are viewable and modifiable in the Django Admin interface. We have tried extending the admin user model, creating user profiles, and custom models all with their own issues. Requirements: Django base code can not be altered - this needs to be portable so no custom forks of django. Must use Django's built in authorization - no customization. In reality, this is simply adding additional fields to the current user model that are visible and modifiable within the django admin interface.
