Bulk File Loader SQL Server

_Machine_ (Application is running on the SQL server host) Detect new files that are closed (not still in FTP transfer process) Lookup owner (If no record = OPEN), territory (if no record = N/A), region (if no record = N/A) and division (if no record = N/A) based on information from another table based on county and/or zip code information (Switch-able between county and zip) (all additional data in one table in the same DB), Uses numerical data from file name as a batch number and this is included in the insert. (Table script and test data will be supplied.) Bulk Load (NO transaction logging) the combined data into a single SQL server table on settable host machine name (Target table create script will be supplied for testing) Move loaded file to one of two directories Pass/Failed (are subdirectories of the original location) Zero error rate or fail. On fail delete all rows that have been inserted based on the batch number. Retry attempts to be settable. Enter transaction data (batch number, same as file name) & results into a log table (same DB) (Table create script will be supplied for testing) Settings can be in a text file an interface is not required. Runs as a service. Notifies desktop if it shuts down by error text box and event log entry start and stop events in the application event log. No command windows opening and closing to interfere with the admin working on the desktop. Tasks are to be fully automated end to end (No human involvement whatsoever) ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Preferred code language to be used VB DB is SQL server 2005 mixed security model Important Notes: There will be multiple files waiting to be processed on the SQL server host. Multi treaded so that several loads can be going on at the same time. Number of active load sessions must be settable Service running priority must be settable at start up. No need to change in real time.
