I currenty have a .XLS file that I can paste a line of text into(hex). The line of text is then picked apart by a macro and is displayed for easy editing.
I can then edit the text and the application will re-create the hex info.
I need this in an application. Along with what is above I need it to save files to a file list box that can be pulled up eaisly to create new coppies.
I will supply the .xls that has all of the logic / information needed to do this project. It must be extreamly user friendly and easy!
The input will be a .raw file, at the bottom of the line are 3 strings of hex. Each 2 (1 hex) digits contain a piece of information that must be sorted out and displayed in a way that is easy for the end user.
For example, I have a chart that shows the relationship between numbers and colors. ie "00" = zebra and "01" = tiger. I need this information to be displayed so it can eaisly be edited by the end user. For this example of color a drop down box would be perfect. If the user would change from "zebra" to "tighe" then the saved output (also a .raw file) must reflect this.
You must have knowledge of both checksum and hex multpliers to make this program work.
If you are still intrested please contact me and I will forward the .xls file along with a few .rar files so you can understand exactally how the macro's work.
thanks bob
