Custom Buddypress Profile & CPT Matching

I need to add custom matching functions to my Buddypress site. I need this matching to match based on 20 profile fields and Custom Post Types with the same 20 custom fields. This is not necessarily a search function, it is just a match based on their existing buddypress profile data. So when a user hits a 'match' link they will be presented with the fellow users that match their profile fields and a separate list of my Custom Post Type pages that also match their profile fields. I would like these lists ranked from highest to lowest, best matching top (100%) and down. I can handle the layout, etc. of the results, just looking for the basic functionality to get started.
