I have a list of bank branches that ever operated in India and need to get their GPS coordinates. I'm using the Reserve Bank of India's Master Office File which includes fields for state name, district name, center name, bank name, branch name, and address. However, oftentimes this is not sufficient to get a good read on the branch's location, which I need with high accuracy. I need someone who can track down the GPS coordinates in a clever way (I've written an R file which issues a GoogleMaps coordinate query, but am often getting bad coordinates - e.g., not within India). To be considered for this job, please: * Provide a brief description of how you will identify the coordinates if you're awarded the job. * Describe how you would evaluate the accuracy of your coordinates. I'm attaching a sample of the branches so you know how the data is structured.

Hi, you did not attach anything, I would probably do this the way you tried but maybe you had an error because google maps don't make mistakes usually. also it is possible to check the coordinates are in the city

Extensive experience in Python while working in an startup environment for 3 years. Moreover, have been an active open source contributor for 5 years. Contributions to notable Python projects: Django, Amara/Universal Subtitles, requests, python-markdown, django-social-auth. - I will use python with the native urllib for this. The requirements for parsing the RBI file will depend on the format it is in. - I have previous experience with using Google's map API (infact I am using it for a to be published open source project right now). For this particular problem, I'll use the same. - The accuracy evaluation will be based on the `bounds` details and `location_type` information that we get from Google. The more specific the address, the higher the accuracy. Would need sample data to provide more details. I think you missed attaching the sample of the branches mentioned in the description. It would really help in planning/architecting the application.

instead of using a code of R, i can try this by using Python (em good at it) thn the branches which are not inside india or mismatched they can manually be searched on google maps or i can try something different. do give a look at my profile em a GIS engineer and its like my own field
