Hi There I'd rather suggest to move to Docker. Reason: It'll eliminate the complexities for both Ansible and Vagrant, even better it'll make the Deployment process quite seamless for you. BTW I don't understand what you mean by "make changes to certain config files to work with AWS S3" BTW I'm a super expert in AWS. Ranked #1 in AWS Freelancer Category. Hey there, I have extensive experience with cloud platforms (Amazon AWS/Google Cloud/Rackspace). I've worked with almost all of the Amazonn AWS services including SNS, SES, Lambda, DynamoDB, CodeDeploy, ElasticBeanstalk, Elastic Load Balancer (ELB) etc. Further more, I've done deployments with LAMP/Ruby stack as well as using Docker. For this project I can write Vagrant file for you using Ansible provisioner which will deploy on AWS. I am not clear on AWS S3 so I won't comment on it in detail, but we can use Boto or AWS CLI to upload/download modified files on S3.
