Code + Design for an innovative global eCommerce platform

About Us: KV & Co. is a stealth mode startup based out of Mumbai, India, working on building an innovative and radically different eCommerce platform that will bring the latest luxury fashion trends to the people across the globe and will act as a one stop shop for all their needs related to fashion and styling. The project is being supported and mentored by fashion industry veterans, with sound financial backing. The Role: You will be instrumental in the development of an eCommerce portal front to back with loads of new features (not there on any current Indian eCommerce platforms), which will place the site apart as compared to the other players in the market. You will earn credentials for designing the best platform for supporting the daily fashion needs of the people. The platform you build will carry your gene as the dominant gene. You will be instrumental in shaping the culture of the company and will function as one of its primary evangelists. At the end of your tenure, § You will have mastered a host of open source technologies § You will be learning the inside out of the eCommerce business § You will qualify for the fashionable geek title § You will get to interact with the big guns in the fashion industry § You will be rich (with both money and valuable learning experiences) Skills we are looking for: You are an experienced developer with a solid foundation in scripting languages. You possess a good working knowledge of social media APIs. You appreciate the design and the aesthetics and are naturally good at designing neat and appealing interfaces. You are a team player who is driven by passion for learning and making a difference. You also have: § Adequate free time § Expertise in Social Media APIs § Good taste in website designing § Extensive knowledge of Scripting languages especially php § Strong knowledge of web applications, distributed systems and network systems § Expertise in Unix/Linux administration § Strong analytical and communication skills You will get brownie points if you have: § Experience with eCommerce porals like OpenCart § Knowledge of mobile application development in Android and iOS § Experience in Enterprise Application Integration § Data mining skills
