I am a filmmaker and have had a WordPress website dedicated to my company and work for the past few years. My wife and I have been working on it and designing and everything has been going well up to this point. However, recently we have been trying to establish a shop (using WooCommerce) on my WordPress website where I can sell my work, mainly HD & 4K videos. For weeks we have been trying to figure out where to put the video files up (since they’re fairly large) and have researched options such as: Amazon S3 Cloud Storage, Dropbox Cloud Storage and using a Vimeo On Demand shop linked to my site. A few days ago we discovered a way of uploading the video files through FTP and then adding them to my WordPress website media library by using a plugin called Add To Server that imports the files previously uploaded through FTP. We are able to see the files in the media library and are able to create products using the location of the file as a source. The problem we are experiencing is that whenever a customer purchases a product, they are indeed given a download link in an email after their purchase. The download link goes to the website but all they see is either a 404 Error Page within the website or a No Results Found page within the website. We have been trying our best to set it up so that the download link customers receive in their email goes straight to the actual product for download, but it is not working. We realized that our hosting can only do Force Downloads or Redirect and have tried to toggle many different options within WooCommerce to make this feature work but have been unsuccessful. We need help to set up our shop so that customers are indeed given a functioning download link in the email that goes to an actual product download page on our website.
