Business Hus & Hjem will be (for now) an online only homewares store specializing in modern, industrial style homewares with a Danish/Scandinavian influence. Hus & Hjem in Danish means ‘house and home’. The products will be a wide array of homewares from wall art to soft furnishings (Cushions, Throws) and the little accessories in between. The target market for the business, although based in Adelaide, will be Australia wide with a focus on females between the ages of 20 – 55. Website Objectives My hopes and goals for the website will obviously be to kick start hus & hjem – get the name and brand out there and start making a regular cash flow. The long term goal is to have built up enough of a name within the community and enough cash flow to support a shop front in Adelaide. I am looking to launch the website with products ready to go within the next 2 – 3 months. The geoprahic target coverage of Hus & Hjem would be national. Website Perception Trendy/Stylish, Professional, Quirky yet Refined? Competition would include: Curious Grace – [login to view URL] Oscar and Willow – Facebook Only - Oscar + Willow Specific Information 5 – 10 Keywords: Homewares, Scandinavian Homewares, Industrial Homewares, Modern Homewares, Buy cushions/wall art/vases/throws,kitchenware online Most important pages would obviously be where the products are displayed. It must be pretty to the eye, whilst being easy to use, showcasing the best features of the products, the website has to exude the brand. Checkout must also be user friendly – don’t want this as a deterrent to the potential clientele after all it is a purely online business. Branding Logo Last year when I first started pondering this idea I had a friend of mine make the below logo up for me. The grey and white colours are really what I wish to work with. To me the deer is a direct resemblance of what I perceive Scandinavian style to represent. The font used in the logo below is the font that will be used in all of the branding. Style that best represents Hus & Hjem would be modern, sleek, classy yet quirky. To explain the types of products that we would sell think concrete, timber, quite natural substances, with pops of metal and colour.
