We have a cordial drink which needs rejuvenating. The personality of the brand is cheeky, playful. Target audience in terms of purchasing is mums, however they are buying for the children. The cordials are a more cost effective form of refreshment than pure fruit juice or ready to drink, key occasions as a result are family gatherings, parties etc.
The key benefit the brand has over its competitors is its superior taste. It has also been around for many years with the taste remaining unchanged. So the brand will be familiar to mum, she probably used when she was growing up but has, lost track of it. We need to reintroduce the brand to her and get her to remember the good taste she enjoyed when she was growing up.
Potential routes are around: "it's as good as it ever was" " not all change is for the better" "great taste through generations" - but more engaging than that.
What we need is the sign off line that captures this positioning and the basic advertising concept of how it can then be communicated TTL ie brief story board.
