We want a lightning-fast Android implementation of forward and inverse FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) for audio, written in RenderScript. Requirements: * It must behave the same way as the FFTW real-data DFT: [login to view URL] * The forward FFT must take real inputs and produce complex outputs * The inverse FFT must accept complex inputs and produce real outputs (you can assume the inputs will be such that the output will have no complex components) * It must be written in RenderScript to run on an Android device * The inputs are a window of 2048 audio samples, expressed as PCM floating-point numbers * It must be fast enough to comfortably process real-time audio, i.e. a forward and inverse transform should take on the order of a millisecond * Bonus: it should be possible to run with different precisions: half, single and double-precision floating-point numbers

Hey, I am bidding only for the Renderscript for the Fourier transform. I have worked previously on app to draw the Amplitude vs time wave of the recorded Audio in PCM array format. I have used the FFT Algorithm to create the coordinates for it. I will like to work on the Render Script in Android for the same. Let me know ehrn do you eant me to start. I have done similar project for fft and inverse fft in assembly language and I am familiar with it. Writing the code in Java and RenderScript for android is much easier than writing in assembly language. In that project the length of data was 4096. Mehrzad
