I need to submit and expression of interest with NZ Immigration and require a letter from IPENZ regarding your qualifications meeting the requirements to Chartered Professional Engineer, unfortunately IPENZ would not be able to provide with the letter for immigration purposes via the KA01 avenue as my engineering qualification cannot be given Washington Accord equivalence. IPENZ advise that it will be necessary for me to go through the KA02 Knowledge Assessment avenue. It would be through this process I can use a combination of evidence of academic study and knowledge and skills gained in the workforce to demonstrate that I have (and can apply) a level of engineering knowledge equivalent to that gained through a Washington Accord degree. You will need to complete the KA02 documentation (see attached KA02 and the draft notes which explain the requirements).
