We have a software solution that's running on openWRT and Raspberry PI. The OpenWRT version is compatible with raspberry PI 2 (v.1.1) but newer versions of the PI give a colorful screen and no boot. I need someone that can update our openWRT image and patch it to support the raspberry PI3.

It looks like you're using an older rpi image and most likely updating and upgrading it on Rpi 2 first (sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade) and copying the image and try running it on Rpi3.
