Hi I'm a python coder with 15+ years experience. Converting your html pages to text, or json is an easy task. There is already a library to convert the html into python objects. I would just need to scan through pull out the bits you want and build a new structure to save as json. I could also add in the ability for xml and Yaml if this is to be passed to third parties where a choice is needed. Thanks Marc Nealer

Hi. There are different ways to approach this problem based on your requirements. If this is a specific news site that you want to get information from then there is a specific solution. But if what you are talking about is getting only article text from an arbitrary web page it is a more complex (but doable) problem. Also do you need to get only text or you also want to download and store images? Anyways I am very good with working with HTML (even if it is broken). Contact me and we can discuss the details.
