I suppose it would be WinForms program because you have mentioned GDI. 2) I suppose you want to say GDI+ rather than GDI because the rendering engine used by Winforms is GDI+. Right? 3) Does you program manipulates/displays images? I had optimized one C# application wherein GetPixel method was being used on a scanned TIFF image. I changed the code to use LockBits and resulting image manipulation was super-fast. 4) Do you use controls such as DataGridView and facing issues improving its scrolling speed? 5) Something else? GDI speed improvements can be very simple, such as using a double buffer, to very complex code rewrites to take advantage of in memory rendering and blitting to screen. I would need to see your code before I would even attempt at a reasonable time frame to get this done.
