I am already an experienced Delphi Developer however I have never used Threading. I have a working project that I need to add threading to some sections. The Project communicates with the Betfair API and it all works fine, has done so for years. The problem has always been that when the program makes a call to the BetFair API servers there is a noticeable 1-2 second delay in the Main UI while the HTTP Client (Indy idHttp) connects to the Betfair server and retrieves the response. I want to add threading around this part of the program so that the UI continues without interruption. I have already made a test program which creates a TThread and in the Execute section sends and receives the requested data from Betfair. This code works OK except that the delay is still evident in the main code. I have searched Google for solutions and none seem to relate. What I am asking for is assistance to determine if a) my code is correct or b) how I can correct my code to solve this problem. I don't have anyone else to ask about this problem.

Hi, I have seen your post for experienced Delphi Developer and I would like to bid for that. I am also an experienced Delphi Developer developing in Delphi from 2000 using versions Delph5,6,7 and Delphi 10.3. I have developed large scale commercial projects in Delphi. Basically written multi threaded reservation engine for airlines, hotels & cars that communicates to airlines fares/inventories systems , different Travel data providers , collects all fares/availability and prepares results and send to client applications. I can solve the problem if you send me your connection code (or test code) and open a connection to your Betfair server to test (if connection to Betfair server cannot be opened, tell me if I can simulate with a TCP server instead, TCP server will silmulate 1-2 second delay). I need 2-4 hours to finish.
