PROJECT: Website -- Used Books Finder (for a college students)
We need pretty simple website for students of a college. This website should have front-end and back-end. On HTML, CSS, PYTHON & JS (optional). (No website builders or stuff like that please).
PURPOSE of the PROJECT: Students after each semester have used textbooks that they will never use anymore. And most of the time these books are not cheap. On the other hand, there are other students who will need exactly the same textbooks when the new semester begins. And the students are going to buy them from Amazon & Ebay for $$$.
SOLUTION: Need to create a website for a particular college and let the students buy textbooks from one another for much cheaper that online. No need to implement "Payment System" of any kind - it is only needed to connect a buyer and seller so that they can pay each other in person.
FRONT: The website should have about 5 simple webpages (html & css, may be js):
• "main" page: a cover page.
• "login" page: with login form.
• "upload" page: should have a form that allows submit an info about the textbook (+ picture) that is available for sale. (After the sale the textbook should be deleted from DB; meaning the student has to have a button "SOLD" for that purpose).
• "list" page: with catalog all the books that are available to buy.
• may have an 'optional' page or two if this will make sense.
All the pages has to be optimized for different screen sizes (from desktops to cell phones).
(All the front-end details like "style, forms, buttons & functionality" will be provided later upon agreement).
BACK: A web-server should be based on Django or Flask (unless you have a better idea). Anyhow it should be on Python 3.6 - 3.7. Must have 3 MySQL databases: one for books, one for students (those who sell books), one for secure credential storage (usernames+passwords). Should use HASH + SALT + SHA-256).
Eventually the website has to be deployed on the remote VPS and run. (by Dec 4th). We will provide hosting.
TERMS: The webpages have to look nice! It is important! Server logic, functionality and DBs have to be "somewhat ok" by the morning of this WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 9.00 AM, EASTERN TIME. SHARP! It has to be presentable to public! But it does not have to be complete yet. (You can deploy it on VPS (that we will provide you) OR make it run on my Macbook. It does not matter as long as it will work and do the job; at least partially. I mean by Wed 9am).
SECOND DEADLINE: The website has to be complete & the server has to be up and running on remote VPS by WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4th, 9.00 AM, EASTERN TIME.

PART 2. (optional).
If you know your job & have time to make a simple website a little "loaded" then we will add Part 2 to this project. Deadline for Part 2 is SATURDAY, DECEMBER 14, 9.00 AM.
We will negotiate the compensation for Part 2 separately.
In this additional part of the project you can come up with any ideas on how to make the website "loaded". It can be anything from adding a "Payment System" to development supplementary Mobile App, either on Android platform or iOS or both, and posting it on the App Market.

My bid covers phase 1, but before I would elaborate I need to ask if you would accept a PHP or Node.js backend? I'm not a python developer so if that's a constraint then I won't be able to help, otherwise please get in touch and I will give you a proper proposal on what my bid includes and any ideas for phase 2. Android app is a possibility - I can make hybrid Android apps, and so is a payment system.
The front end would be clean and responsive, all code would be clean and commented.
