Goal: We are developing route application for users using (OpenTripPlanner)OTP + (OpenStreetMap)OSM +static GTFS. We want the users to be able to request the sheltered walkway in users routing options as a preference. So when the OTP returns the options, it includes the options of normal walking (fast) and walking sheltered walkway for users to choose. Scope: This work is to add one feature to the OTP "WALK" mode that can request shelter walkway prefered "WALK" mode through the API (query param). It is similar to the bike triangle in OPT to request a "SAFETY" way for "BICYCLE" mode. Deliverable: Use current OTP from Github to develop the scripts. To test it works, you can put some dummy data in OSM as "sheltered walkway" to prove the program works. (We are using OSM as map provider, and we will put sheltered walkway data in OSM for our application.) The feature shall be used as in "WALK" only mode and in multimodal transit mode. For example: if I am in multimodal transit mode, I need to walk-bus-walk to get the destination. The route option OTP response shall have one more itinerary option that the walk is through (or partially through) sheltered walkway before and after the bus, even though the distance is longer than the normal walkway. A proper record shall also be made on the code (comments and git history) Timeline: We are expecting the delivery in 3 weeks once contracted.

Hello there, I have gone through requirements. I understand you need similar like Bike Triangle in which the bike triangle was offering three variable as distance, typography and facility type so for OTP walk mode we will be offereing walkway shelter mode. (Correct me if i m getting wrong) And this can be accessed directly via OTP web API and using a range of Javascript client libraries, including modern reactive modular components targeting mobile platforms.
