I am looking for someone who can create a program for psychology research. Broadly speaking the program needs to: show a dot on a screen. In the first mode, the dot will move between points on a coordinate grid. In the second mode, the dot will appear at points on a coordinate grid. be able to adjust the size and speed of the dot, and the coordinates it moves to. We had a version of this program in Java (it is broken and half of it is missing), but would be open to other languages, so long as they functionality is unchanged. track mouse movement in relation to the dot and display on screen, continuous feedback on mouse accuracy. insert text directions onto the screen. track and export mouse accuracy, click latency, and the onscreen continuous feedback. A graphical interface so computer illiterate people can use the program or make the changes to the X,Y coordinates, dot speed and size, and onscreen text. The above items are essentials, but we would also like to incorporate survey capability, and Stroop and Flanker tasks (see the attached document for a detailed description of Stroop and Flanker tasks).

The details of this project state that it is okay that the project is completed in another language, and I think that the perfect language for this is to use JavaScript. Having this project as a website will make it easier for the people who are taking the survey or setting up computers that will have the survey on them since they will no longer have to download and run any software, as they will be able to take it right in their web browser. I've been working with JavaScript as my primary language for about three years now, and I feel that it is the perfect language for the project.
