I have been running a Magento 1.8 store for many years and would like to have it upgraded to the new 2.x version. I believe this process is not a true upgrade, but requires Magento 2.x to be installed on my server and then the customers, products, and orders to be exported from my 1.8 and imported into the new 2.x.
