Need you to help with one of the following: 1. find a source or 2. design/build a microcontroller/embedded system for Subsea use at 10,000 Ft or so depth. The system should continue to operate during physical transitions between topside to subsea or vice versa in about an hour also. The HW board will be immersed in an inert oil filled housing (provided by us) to protect from water but will be exposed to ocean pressure. Continuous subsea operation for several months is anticipated. HW : Preferably open, readily available. Standardized solutions like Beaglebone, RPi, Arduino type preferred, if meeting specs. If designed by you, the components meet the specs given. Must support 8 high speed 3kHz pulse inputs 24VDC. 8 RS485 comm ports each with SW configurable protocols - CanOpen host, Modbus RTU Master, slaves. RS485 ports may optionally be multiplexed using TCP or USB port with virtual SW ports or any other suitable mechanisms. This may be on a daughter board. Also have flash IC storage for 1G bytes of data. 24VDC supply, 0 to 50 C temperature. MTBF 99%. Linux or Windows iot OS and run executable of C programming. Mechanisms to help with test/debug during development. We shall develop the application level stuff. We shall assume you will provide tested stack for the SW protocols. SW, IDE etc. - get it approved by us. Somehow you shall help test the product in the specified physical environment. Provide a user manual in MS Word, Gerber files with complete BOM. Please allocate sometime in your bid to help develop/evolve the specs together with us and also. After the completion, help transfer the knowledge and train us to continue with future work, if so desired by us. All the source code, supporting files will be delivered to us, owned by us for this 'work for hire' project. The budget is only a placeholder, please bid your best price and time of delivery. You may suggest any milestones and payment will be released after delivery of all the source codes and design work done till that date. Please only provide relevant info. If you like to share your other experiences or capabilities, we shall hold a separate meeting after the job is done.
