Accounting to Material Requestion Integration using SSIS

I am undertaking the update of a one way integration of 4 tables within an Accounting System "Greentree" via an ODBC connection into SQL Server Database application to manage purchase orders for Material Requisition. Record volume is low with the processing of 100 records per day with a maximum of 1000. The project involves the conversion of a portion of a Microsoft Access 97 program into a stand alone Sql Server Integration Service program, which will be a scheduled service. The project involves the parsing of standard text within a row of the accounting system. The extraction of some identifiers (Job Number, Item Number, ) within that standard text row and the updating of the Material Requisition sql server tables. The project involves the conversion from an interactive single user system to a unattended / automated integration service. Hence there will be the need to integrate with email to publish transaction reports and error management. I have undertaken partial development of the SSIS in Visual Studio and am seeking guidance and assistance to complete the project. The attached document provides a design review, Visual Studio screen shots and Script of the work to date. It also provides operational background along with the Visual Basic within the Access 97 integration. I have also included the planned stored procedures which would be called via a For Each Script. The current design and VB.NET code is an adaption of the old access module. I am open to an alternative design and code. For example, VB.NET script calling stored procedures was chosen to be similar to the Visual Basic structure within Access. The current Access module does not use stored procedures, hence I am open to the use of SSIS script modules. As data extraction is an essential component, knowledge of SSIS scripts is essential. It is expected that good Object Orientated Programming principals will be followed in the design and coding.
