Hello, I'm an experienced Java developer that and I could do this project for you. I would use Android inbuilt location listener methods to extract longitude and latitude. If the GPS is not available in the device, another way is to find your distance to the cell signal towers (there are a lot of them in every urban area) and triangulate from there. You can choose what fits your needs. About user profiles, I would need more specific information about what needs to be saved.
