WEB Access To My Home PC

I thought I needed a web site because someone told me so. I registered my name, RichKoni. Here is what I need and want to do this as cheap as possible. I would like to Get to My Home PC from work: (Thru my Webpage) Download files (like Windows update) (Select and download Like RAC and show progress as downloading)) Upload files same as above Look Up data on my home PC from work. Count times I logged into my home PC Have this secured so no hackers can get in. I would like the order of events specified and the cost for each. I haven't a clue how to start, so please be clear and orderly. Thank you. Please spell out order of events and cost anf how to test each part along the way. (Save money while starting$$) I have comcast cable as my internet provider with a BW of about 5 meg. My Linksys 8 port router gives ipaddress of 192 168 1 1. My wan ipaddress of 68 81 146 250 My default gateway is 68 81 146 129. Second line 68 87 64 196 DNS = 68 87 66 196 With all of the above, I have no clue as to how to or where to start:. (over 500 familes accross the world) I need to host this site to exchange pict ures, download them, and post files to this site. And post the family newsletter. This site must be secure: What do I have to do for the cheapest cost to have "Key" family members log in & post pictures to the web. (See "Bob France dot com" to get an idea) They also need to be able to click a button in my progam to check the version of the photo viewer, update if necessary & re-start windows & my program. A progress form should show the download progress like the windows updates showing where to save the new file, Set a default location by what program they used to get to the web site.
