This project requires the use of speech technology, hotkeys and simple screen zoom magnification to enable a person (my brother is registered blind) with (visual impairment/ learning difficulties) easy access to the Internet ( Web and Email) and for simple RTF type word processing. The main features should be an Internet like Browser which reads important screen information using speech synthesis, an email function with inbox list, DUN chooser, send/receive email with and without attached files, address book function, and WordPad type word processor feature for composing email and displaying headers/body of received email messages. The interface should be easy to use. Menu items, buttons, dialogs, hypelinks should be able to be read out when detected and selected using text-to-speech as well as simple Zoom magnification for the full Desktop screen ??" existing built-in Windows Magnifier is no good. Email and DUN function should support both Outlook Express, MS Outlook and run on Windows 98/NT and ME/2000 platforms The Application should be able to parse and process HTML to get important information and and provide simple access to hyperlinks(i.e. simple list activation). Speech recognition with independent speakers ( no user training ) is an option for consideration or may be part of a follow-up project. ## Deliverables Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
