Company Profile TechStars is an American company operating in Cebu City. We develop high end, enterprise level web applications for e-commerce websites and platforms. We are looking for: WEB DEVELOPER RESPONSIBILITIES • Development and implement front & back end web applications • Build high performance, scalable applications • Participate in agile web development lifecycle • Perform bug fixes & application enhancements • Work with test engineers to identify & fix defects JOB QUALIFICATIONS • No college degree required • Ruby on Rails experience highly preferred • Willing to train you in RoR, if experienced in PHP, Apache, MySQL, PostgreSQL • Strong understanding of object oriented software design & implementation • High enthusiasm for learning new technologies • Self-motivated & able to work under minimum supervision • Great communication skills • Able to get things done working within a small team • Must live in Cebu or be willing to relocate PLUS SKILLS • Highly proficient in Ruby & Ruby on Rails framework • Have experience with Amazon AWS and/or Heroku • API development experience • Experience using GitHub or similar project management tools WORK CONDITIONS AND BENEFITS • Enormous learning opportunities working for American managers • Full and part time positions available (5 day work week or sprint periods) • Competitive salary, depending on experience • Paid holidays & appropriate vacation leaves • Unlimited ramen meal provided!
