Add hover over color and border on all images and captions in lightbox -Wordpress

I need to add a light grey color and border around image when you hover over them, then when clicked for it to pop-up in a light box with the caption at the bottom formatted correctly and an X to close out of the box. Also for certain cluster of images, I will need them group so that it would have prev and next buttons when in the light box. I am using the WP Lightbox 2 plugin now, but the captions are not formatted correctly and there is no option for hover over effects. Also would like to do this without having to code every time I upload a photo.

Hi As stated on their plugin site "Group related images in post and navigate through them with ease", wp lightbox 2 have the abilty to group images so they have prev/next button as needed. I can check it for you if there is problem with the plugin, and also I can help you with the hover by modifying some css on your site.
