The requirement is to create an estimation function restricted towards EC2 instances in a cloud formation stack. The ideal solution would behave as follows: - The estimation engine should be auto-triggered when a Cloud Formation stack is created - AWS Pricing APIs can be used to estimate the cost of EC2 instances per month in the cloud formation template. [login to view URL] - -If the cost goes above a threshold amount ( $ 90 /month)an action could be taken like sending notice to cloud watch. Hello; I understand that you would like to have a system developed that is event driven based on CloudFormation stacks being executed. You would like the contents then estimated based on the EC2 instances within the stack, and a cloudwatch metric (?) used to manage this cost, which would be alerted via CloudWatch alarms I'd like to chat more briefly about this, but it seems reasonable for the budget.
