I have a php, codeigniter, mysql web application that I need some changes implemented. The web application is used to process equipment through a workflow specified by the business. The system is designed so that users must complete their process tasks before a piece of equipment is assigned to the next process. I am needing to add the ability for one user type to assign a piece of equipment to any process. The user will need to be able to select which process (all processes are stored in a database table), and provide a reason for the reassignment. This information will need to be stored in the process_record table and any records of the same process previously generated for the equipment will need a field updated. Once the new process is selected and the comment is completed, by the user, the system will need to generate the email notices associated with the process. Currently, email alerts are sent when a process is assigned. This reassignment will need to send the same alerts as if it were assigned by a normal user. Access to the test site and database will be provided.
