Change PowerBI data source settings automatically

Hi, By reading your description, I can say without opening PBIT, changing data connection is not possible. We can parameterize data connection and can change but Report have to be opened and that will be done with some RPA tool as UIPath since we have to achieve it on PBI Desktop. If you want to change Report Parameter on Web Service, that can be done using Selenium or other automation framework.

Hi, It is impossible to change the data source setting without opening the file. however, you can create a separate table containing the db names and credentials and use as parameter for your power bi templates. Thanks
