The required output of the UPS is 12V 40W, but what is the input power supply? The complexity (or simplicity) depends much on that. Hi, This can obviously be done, you need a 3V to 12V boost convertor at say 5A and then something that charges the Super capacitor slowly once the power resumes. However can you please let me know why you need a supercapacitor? A battery is ususaly used for such an application with good reason.
