Prepare a technical report on LCA of the provided flooding defence design

Report must contain no more than 1200 words (excluding tables, figures and references) and include the following points: 1. Introduce your design briefly and provide key information related to LCA methods including functional unit, system boundary, key data, data sources and environmental impact indicators used. 2. What are the key findings from your LCA study of the flooding defence design? In this section you should describe the key factors that contribute to the environmental impacts and present the findings with tables and graphs. At least two different types of environmental impact need to be considered. 3. How can the results help you improve your design? Based on the above section, you need to change the key factors to see how the environmental impacts might change and discuss the possible solutions to reduce the environmental impact if you were to redesign the system. 4. Discuss key assumptions and limitation in your study Adequate flood protection should be provided; the guideline is that designs should be able to withstand a 1-in-100 year fluvial flood flow event with all areas either raised above or protected from these flood flows. It is important that the project does not increase flood risk to other areas of land which are sensitive to flooding. The flood defense system which was used for this task was a retention pond.
