Hello. I've read your request about converting *stl to *step and i'm very interested in your project. I have some questions if you don't mind: 1. How many models do you need to convert? 2. Can you send sample *stl file? After i could better understand the amount of work. Right now it's difficult to understand what time will be needed to finish the project. I can convert models in SolidWorks 2016, the construction tree will be clear and easy to understand. I can convert parts/assemblies in whatever format you need, so you could easily print it or import into another programs (if you need). Also i can render and animate the model if you need it. I have a huge experience in 3D modeling (almost 7 years), you can check some of my models in my portfolio.

Hello! I've 5 years experience in 3D modeling, especially in Solidworks. I'm aware of issues related to stl files deriving from scanning. I know how to repair open surfaces and transfer them to solid objects. I got experience while preparing stl's for 3D printing process.. What is more my SolidWorks allows me to EDIT stl files and repair them as well. I'd like to work for You Best regards Mikołaj

Hi, if you want to convert STL to 3D DWG or DXF you can use "MeshLab" (it is free), but if you really need it to be STEP format, than I can try it on other CAD & converter software that I have, but the per hour rate will entirely depend on the complexity of the model and the efforts required to simplify or clean & repair the model.
