Who I am:
My name is Rebecca Cachia, a recent MA graduate in New Media and Digital Culture. Originally from Malta, I am a native speaker of English with a passion for writing and an aim to centre my career on the meeting point between arts and technology.
My experience:
With a strong background in teaching English, my command of the language is excellent providing me with the flexibility to attune to any context of writing required. I have also written articles for local magazines and newspapers in Malta as well as the web content for a travel agency in the UK (Chevron Holidays).
I completed my MA in New Media and Digital Culture, which has provided me with the skills required to adjust my writing to the online format. Coincidentally, while on my Masters I conducted a research project on Wikipedia articles in which I analysed how various articles differed in style across languages.
I recently completed the final thesis for my Masters - Let's Disqus Racism: News Commenting in Malta and the Production of Race Online - which centred on an analysis of the Disqus commenting plugin. Therefore, I am well versed in creating narratives on the analysis and portrayal of technological features, while simultaneously using digital features to better the narrative at hand.
Proposal: after collecting the information needed I can ensure a Wikipedia article of high quality to promote your company. Please let me know if you would like me to send examples of my work.
