Contract US-Spanish Linguist/Phonetician

Title: Contract US-Spanish Linguist/Phonetician Location: Remote/Virtual Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: through 12/31/12 Appen Butler Hill is currently looking for a US Spanish Phonetician to work approx. 10 hours a week in the Speech Technology sector. Candidates must be highly motivated and have high attention to detail. Tasks: • Check email and respond to client requests every day • Review and correct the input/output of the tokenizer • Review and correct the input/output of the formatter • Review and correct word prons • Review and lexicalize out of vocabulary words • Review, correct and add spoken forms to word names • Serve as language expert for research • Review and clean up lexicon-origin attributes • Phonetic transcription Required Skills: • Someone who lives in the US and speaks Spanish natively • Linguistic(BA) or similar degree • Experience with phonetic transcription required • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment • Proficient with email communication • Previous experience as a teacher may be helpful Please apply on our website at: [login to view URL];cws=4&rid=395 Appen Butler Hill is a language technology solutions and consulting firm, recognized as a global leader in the quality, range and caliber of its expertise.
