Dmx Lighting Controls - Test applications - A Simple project We are developing a set of small applications needed to demonstrate a product line we intend to release in 2008. Here we need a set of Visual components made and then a small application that uses them. We have incluided a running demo application to copy/ understand our needs , and some information on a another applications that will show closer the quality of the product we need as we are after a very pretty skinned device. Skin component to use ( common ) [login to view URL] You will be requested to submit 4 skin options for us to choose from . This will probably be harder then the project it self , that is making it look good to the end customer . So please allow time for that . Part 1 Visual Component - DMX_SLIDER_STD. ( there will be 3 more ) The first one is a Simple slider ( verticle ) that has a circle at the top , and 256 positions See Graphics in the document to get an idea, not the one in the program that si for function only a) You can set its ID from 1 to 512 .( Select change ID ) this is changable , when running b) You can set the circle to a colour from a pop up colour chart on of 16 colour options this is changable , when running c) as you move the slider up or down when running 1) the intensity of the circle changes 2) you are changing a variable in shared mem file you are the only app writing, others are reading it must update this shared mem file , not less than 100 times a second Part 2 Small test applicaion - DMX controller and scene desiner function that pops down like in Win amp // and hides if not needed Using 12 of the components , you will maks a small DMX controller that will allow you to adjust on the fly the DMX values , showing the intensity of the small circles as you adjust. This applicaion will have 2 modes / Mode 1 - Live Here a second part ( seperate app ) that will read the shared mem file and display the values in decimal on the screen Ch 1 Colour = value Ch 2 Colour = value .. Ch 12 Colour = Value etc.. With channels the same as selected in the applicaion . THis tests the shared mem variable used Mode 2 Here it is the same as above but , an added feature of a scene saver that pops down , ( see pictures and software and read the manual to understand what scened and and pre sets are - copy them ) The applicaion now also allow you to save the set of slider variables in a "saved text file format" , here the demo application will provide the full examples needed and you can save it in the same maner , we will change it later Just follow / copy the control options as used in the demo applicaion , it basic but that is all we need , but in a pretty graphical skin .
