The lion went for a walk. He fell into a net. "Help!" he cried. The lion was stuck in the net. The mouse came. "I will help you" said the mouse. The mouse bit the net. He saved the lion. "Now you see that even a mouse can help a lion" said the mouse. I would ensure all stories are the length that you require. I tutor young children and recently have been working with a young girl named Alice who is interested in expanding her creativity. We have been writing a series of short stories about space and time travel featuring a character loosely based on herself. We've been incorporating her school-generated vocabulary list and have trying to deal with important topics like immigration, racism and otherness through the guise of alien/human interaction. Not to mention, it's very fun : )
