We need an excel expert to format excel file for us based on following condition;- You need to make duplications of column data based on following rules: For each row of data, we need 10 more duplicates made You will format the duplicates in following manner 1) column A: a) original row: nothing changes b) duplicate 10 rows: create a new number that begins with RHJGJutew1, and increase the numbers 2) column B and C: a) both original row and duplicate row are same 3) column D: a) all original and duplicate row will have value that begins with RHJGJutuyu1. Unlike Column A, the value remains same for the original and its duplicate. This value only increases for each new Row 4) column E-G: a) both original row and duplicate row are same 5) column J-K a) both original row and duplicate row are same 6) column L-W a) the values will be empty on original row. the values only show in duplicate row 7) column AG and AJ a) values are same and appear in both original and duplicate 8) column AP-CN a) values are same and appear in both original and duplicate 9) column CO a) original row: value says "Parent" b) duplicate row: value says "Child" 10) column CP a) original row: its is empty b) duplicate row: they all will have the same value that appears in column A of the original row 11) column CQ: a) original row: it is empty b) duplicate row: it has value "variation" 12) column CR: a) original and duplicate have same value "RingSize" 13) column CS: a) original and duplicate have same value "US" 14) column CT: a) original and duplicate have same value "FALSE" 15) column CZ: a) original and duplicate have same value "womens" 15) column DA: a) original and duplicate have same value "JewelOcean" 16) column DD: a) original : the column is empty b) duplicate: the value remains the same 15) column DE: a) original and duplicate have same value "CARATS" 16) column DL: a) original : the column is empty b) duplicate: the value remains the same 17) column DM: a) original : the column is empty b) duplicate: the value remains the same 18) column DN: a) orignal and duplicate: value says "designer" 19) column DR: a) original: the column is empty b) duplicate: the values change from "4.5,5,5.5,6,6.5,7,7.5,8,8.5,9" 20) column DS: a) original : the column is empty b) duplicate: the value remains "TRUE" 21) column DT: a) orignal and duplicate: value says "4.5" 22) column DU: a) orignal and duplicate: value says "9" 23) column EF-FY: a) orignal and duplicate: value remain same We want you to do this as macro, so that if we make any changes we can run macro again. i am attaching 2 files. one is original which needs formatting. this file will have more data, for now i have only put 5 rows. once i give you the project, this file will have about 3000 rows. the 2nd file is the sample file to give you an example of the finished work

Regards, Dobri PS: I am guessing it would be better to make the code output into another sheet rather than the source sheet, so it won't create any problems if/when you try to "rerun" as you said. EDIT: The code is ready. One question remains unclear though. For columns "D" of row-copies value it's clear it will jump from "RHJGJutuyu1" to "RHJGJutuyu3000" (300 data rows in the real case sheet), but for column "A" it's not quite clear whether it will be one consecutive list "RHJGJutew1" through to "RHJGJutew30000" (10x3000 copy rows) or it will restart at each row copies from "RHJGJutew1" again? I assumed it's the former, but still can you clarify on that?

I have a university degree in economics and IT, and several decades of system design and programming, in the recent decade especially in Excel and VBA. I plan to complete the project via writing an Excel macro contained in a separate XLSM file. This approach makes further use of the macro very convenient by offering a Control sheet containing cells populated by the usual Open file and/or select folder dialogs to identify the current input and output files and hosting command buttons and other controls if necessary. In my approach you'll have opportunity to consult details with me, to test pilot solutions if necessary in order to achieve an optimal final solution. Further use of macros, fixing of bugs and minor changes are included in the bid without any additional fees. Regards

NOTE: Except for the query I posted this is close to being done. Will wait to hear and post sample! I have been developing applications in both Access and Excel for 20 years with extensive use of VBA. I have developed several applications for Freelance clients, please see Feedback and examples in Portfolio. I am UK based, a native English speaker, available on Skype and currently on UTC. I am available now. I am familiar with this kind of work. I am guessing it is an Amazon "flat file" or similar. I have done several projects requiring this sort of approach. Only the Sample file seemed to be there but based on that I can create a sample macro for the first 10 or 20 columns. The finished macro code will run as often as required I need you to contact me before I do that because Freelancer will not let me message you unless you contact me first
