Currently have 5 Access Databases and 2 Excel Spreadsheets that require Task Scheduler to open them then run a macro. Task have been setup but are not working correctly. They need to run on a Windows 2012 R2 Server. Need to run with User not logged in. A dedicated user has been created to run these reports.s

My immediate proposal would be to : 1. Utilize Powershell or VBS script; 2. Create CMD wrapper to run that script; 3. Ensure that Powershell script has detailed logging of task Execution; 4. Ensure that Task scheduler has correct settings in "Run whether user is logged on or not", calls 32bit version of Powershell and does not load user profile at that call; 5. Ensure that Powershell is run from Task schedule from Highest proviliges.

Hello. I am assuming that you have created a batch file and runnning that via windows task scheduler. I can fix issue in that. Also if this does not work well, then I can create a windows console app which you can call from task scheduler

Have done this before, have run in to problems and resolved them with little difficulty. I understand Excel and Access macros as well as Windows Scheduler and the rights etc that the user needs. All I need to do is see the files/macros and get access to the Windows Server remotely

Hi, I have been working with Ms Access for more than 10 years. I have successfully completed previously projects that opens Ms Access at specific time and run different tasks like running a report and email to a specific address. I can make a Windows service that do such stuff or we can use task scheduler even. I m sure I can save your money and time. regards Usman Habib
