Scholarly background in science would be a considerable plus. BRIEFING Language of lecture: English Subject: History of food PART 1. Duration: 50' JOB DESCRIPTION Text: I already have the complete text for the lecture and it includes a description of what each slide should specifically include. The template (background) of the slides must be created from scratch. The job is for you to create a Powerpoint-style presentation for the lecture including research for fitting images (photos, artistic depictions, artwork, graphs). Some images will be provided, but may not be of sufficient resolution. Several tables with data will be provided as well. Specifications as follows: Software: Impress/Libre (Open Office, files .odp). I use a MacBook Air. I must be able to edit the file afterwards. Projection: The venue will provide a good quality projector (specifications unknown) and a large screen (some 2.5m x 2.5m). There will not be wifi or internet connection at the location. Images: Minimum resolution 1280x900. It is part of the job to verify that all images will look sharp when projected, and to find appropriate images, which must be copyright -free (the lectures will not be commercial, they will be free of charge, so a creative commons license is sufficient). Approx. 42 slides for this lecture. All images that will be used in the slideshow must be provided as well as stand-alone images (via dropbox link). Deadline: 10 calendar days from agreement for the first finished draft. Another 5 days to complete any corrections. Attention, I'm on a deadline and cannot tolerate delays.
