High level description: An Excel spreadsheet template that filters data from 2 sources based on the users input of where the files are located.1) In one tab, the user indicates where the two source files are located. 2) Tab 2 will display filtered data from source 1 and calculates discrepancies. 3) Tab 3 will display and arrange data data from source 2 with conditional formatting. Detail / Purpose: Tab 2: To identify inventory discrepancies from a file supplied after inventory is scanned. This file shows how many units should be counted, how many were counted and show the discrepancy (simple math). The file generated from the scanners comes with two different sections containing data and only one of the sections is needed. First step is two determine the data range. The second is is to display the data from that range. The third is to add a column to display the discrepancy. Ie 3 units should have been counted, 1 unit was counted and the discrepancy is 2. Or 3 units should have been counted, 5 units were counted and the discrepancy is -2. Tab 3: To identify the discrepancies from a shipment report and display it in an easy to read format for those who can't pull this data from the original source. The source file shows how many units were shipped and subsequently billed. Each unit is identified by the part number and corresponding serial number. The information in this tab should show the part number and serial as a heading. Then display the transactions underneath. Ideally if the number of units shipped doesn't match (ie even out), the lines without a billing (ie unaccounted for) should highlight accordingly. Ie highlight in yellow to show that the lines don't have a match.
